COVID-19 Update
The COVID-19 Committee was formed to ensure the Knickerbocker Field Club provides the safe playing environment for its members. The COVID-19 Committee has reviewed the latest CDC and USTA guidelines and made suggestions at the Board of Directors meeting that were accepted.
Here are the following changes that take place immediately:
-
If you are fully vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a face covering in all public areas of the Club EXCEPT when in close, prolonged contact with someone. Of course, if you prefer to wear a face covering, you are more than welcome to do so.
-
The clubhouse will be open to all with a maximum number of 15 people with all rolling doors open.
-
Three tables will be set up with a maximum 5 persons per table.
-
Locker room and showers are now open with a maximum number of 2 persons at a time.
-
Non-Vaccinated members must wear face coverings in all public areas.
-
The hand sanitizing spray bottles will be back on each court.
As of May 11, 134 of the 135 COVID-19 consent forms returned were from fully vaccinated members.
This is a great first step toward getting back to "normal" but let's not get complacent and keep in mind the three pillars of prevention: Social Distancing, Hand Sanitizing and Face-Covering.
