COVID-19 Update

The COVID-19 Committee was formed to ensure the Knickerbocker Field Club provides the safe playing environment for its members. The COVID-19 Committee has reviewed the latest CDC and USTA guidelines and made suggestions at the Board of Directors meeting that were accepted. 

 

Here are the following changes that take place immediately:

 

1. If you are fully vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a face covering in all public areas of the Club EXCEPT when in close, prolonged contact with someone.  Of course, if you prefer to wear a face covering, you are more than welcome to do so.

2. The clubhouse will be open to all with a maximum number of 15 people with all rolling doors open.

3. Three tables will be set up with a maximum 5 persons per table.

4. Locker room and showers are now open with a maximum number of 2 persons at a time.

5. Non-Vaccinated members must wear face coverings in all public areas. 

6. The hand sanitizing spray bottles will be back on each court.

 As of May 11, 134 of the 135 COVID-19 consent forms returned were from fully vaccinated members. 

This is a great first step toward getting back to "normal" but let's not get complacent and keep in mind the three pillars of prevention: Social Distancing, Hand Sanitizing and Face-Covering.
